Welcome to Simply Connected, the official blog from Simply Michigan Infotainment. I’m Nick and since 2018 I’ve helped Ford and Lincoln owners like yourself upgrade, replace and better understand their vehicle’s infotainment system.
Change is in the air
It's been a big week with a few new updates and products. We updated a few of our most popular product pages with a new look, cut down on unnecessary images and tried highlighting the bits of information that matters the most. Further updates are coming for the rest of the product pages in the near future. Our goal is to have the most and clean concise store front possible, giving you all of the important information needed quickly.
Another big change is that our USB-C hubs with built in wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are shipping! This is very exciting for us and for a lot of vehicle owners (especially the 2015 F-150 guys) who were left out when we started offering our Ford OEM USB-C hub due to not having a proper sized conversion bezel for certain vehicles.
These USB-C hubs with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have so far performed great in our testing. They connect right away, we haven't had any noticeable lag or random disconnects. They've been a hot seller this week.
We've also lowered our prices on a number of products to be more competitive. I stand firm that we offer some of the best quality products available since we don't cut corners by purchasing cheap non-authentic Ford hardware to peddle off as legitimate.
More to come
We have more exciting new products coming soon. I constantly get asked about our Sync 4 conversions and when they'll be available. Hopefully soon! We have Sync 4 harnesses in house and we're testing them currently. We won't be the first to the game but we'll definitely try to be the best. Sync 4 conversions definitely have proven more difficult than their predecessors, to say the least. Unfortunately there will be a lot more limiting factors when it comes to Sync 4 though, for example, updating the system will not be as easy anymore.
Hopefully in a few weeks we'll have 12" upgrades available for the 2015-2020 F-150 (including the Raptor), 2017-2022 F-250 and 2017-2022 F-350. This upgrade is neat as it will retain your Sync 3 infotainment system but you'll still get the large 12" Lincoln style display that looks completely OEM. These kits will include a harness, bezel and trim pieces to complete the upgrade. No re-programming needed. Pair this with our new USB-C hub with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto and you'll have an awesome combination. Since it's still Sync 3, you'll retain full compatibility of your infotainment system, radio and features and you'll still be able to freely update your system every year.
Keep your eyes peeled for more information soon!
