2023 Sync 3 Software and/or Maps Update

Would you like to update your maps in your infotainment system but don't want to go through the hassle of creating the flash drive yourself? Let us help you, for a nominal fee we'll send you a brand new 32GB flash drive pre-installed with the necessary software to update your maps to 2023. After you're done, the flash drive is yours to keep.

Please be aware, this flash drive will also reformat your APIM module and will re-install Sync 3.4 on it. The default software version that will be selected is 3.4.20196. We choose to use an older build to avoid potential issues with certain vehicles with later updates; we found this is a pretty safe build for all vehicles. However if you would like a newer build you may select to do so however we won't cover shipping (to or from) if we need change the build and ship it back.

Please be aware, this is NOT intended for APIM modules that came from 2020+ vehicles (part number starting with L). If used with a 2020 module you will brick the module and it will no longer function. This also will NOT upgrade your module to include navigation if your module is currently non-navigation; your module doesn't have enough memory to store this update. If you're unsure what year module you have (if purchased from us), please contact us so we can check for you. Please have your original order number ready.

To be 100% transparent, this is a convenience service/product. We're not trying to cheat you and hide the fact that you can do this yourself for free. In fact, we encourage you to do so if you're capable. However there are some out there that value their time rather than money, or they're not as technically inclined and would rather get it done right the first time.

Updating the module will take about 25-27 minutes. When you insert the USB flash drive into your vehicle a message will pop up saying the update was successful and will restart. A foreign screen will pop up with a progress bar. Please do not unplug the USB flash drive until the screen turns green.
